Luisa Diogo and Antonio Muchanga in the list to the State Council
The Assembly of the Republic will ratify, this Thursday, the proposal of the seven personalities of recognized merit, elected by themselves, to the State Council, a political body that advises the President of the Republic in matters of national interest. Topping the list, are the former Prime Minister, Luisa Diogo, proposed by the FRELIMO parliamentary group, and Antonio Muchanga, Member of the Parliament by RENAMO in the last legislature.

Mozambique has the worst rate of access to financial services in the region
Mozambique is the worst country in southern Africa in relation to access to financial services. Informal systems of access to finance are replacing banking. This is the finding of a study on assessing the level of access to financial services in Mozambique, released last Saturday in the city of Maputo. The study was conducted by the Government of Mozambique and had the technical and financial support of the company FinMark and the Federal Republic of Germany. The study aims to contribute to the development of a comprehensive understanding about the environment for financial services in Mozambique and obtain a detailed knowledge about the segments that have or do not have full access to these services. Tuberculosis kills in the jail of Nampula
Tuberculosis is affecting the prison population of the industrial and regional penitentiary of Nampula, having so far caused the deaths of nine prisoners, according to data presented recently by the management of that institution. The degradation of the health status of patients mostly gone from the province of Zambezia, is result of the failure of accompanying their health. (Noticias. 20th April, 2010)
